PTLLS – Preparing To Teach In The Learning And Skills sector

Authentic Training specialise in giving organisations the skills to train its own workforce and thereby reducing its training costs. This could be done by delivering the Initial Teacher Training Course which allows organisations to qualify for delivering courses that attracts other funding.

Or other courses can be tied in as well to give organisations (voluntary or commercial) the ability to expand their training portfolio. Two highly relevant contemporary examples of this are Mental Health First Aid and Safeguarding.

L3 Award in Mental Health First Aid

By completing both the L3 Award and the Mental Health First Aid course the student can then register with an awarding body to deliver the accreditted Mental Health First Aid course to students.

L3 Safeguarding

The same applies – and is possibly much more relevant to the voluntary and community sector – with the Level 3 Safeguarding course. By combining the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and the Level 3 Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults organisations have the ability to certify their own volunteers or staff.

Funding Available – Other Courses

During the last round of funding (Skills for Growth) there were many skills areas that were funded including ICT, Health and Social Care and Management Development. There are, in fact, no limitations on what can be funded as long as it contributes to an increase in skills of the workforce and can contribute to the economic growth and welfare of the Liverpool City Region. The starting point is to contact Authentic Training who will work with you to find a solution for your training needs.
